Best use of the patrol group ?

Best use of the patrol group ?

hey there,

what do you think is the best use of the (naval) Patrol Groups ?

I'm quite unsure of what to do with them (mass them into a strike force ? Spread them all around to add an extra defense layer ?)

Blockade islands with them when you have carrier superiority for risk free deletion of enemy divisions.

Agreed.

Also if an enemy sub is close to shore they do pretty good against them in a stack. Never tried 1 on 1...

I have seen them used to recon enemy fleets, trying to make out their composition. Which is vital BTW
