11/1C: We tried to surround 6 IJA AR units. Four escaped the pocket. 2 got strat bombed and then shock attacked with 2 Allied Armor battalions.

In the 2nd attack, it was a good attack considering the Chinese are the only infantry!!!.

Looks like John3rd is setting up for another offensive in NW AUS.
Note 3 div in each mountain hex.

Did I miss an announcement that John would not be contributing to this AAR? He hasn't chimed in in 2 weeks now.

I spoke with John on Wednesday. It is springtime in Colorado, finally. He has a cabin four hours away on the west side of the Rockies that they are going to to get set up and meet with contractors to finish their expansion (adding new master bedroom). He is still working behind the scenes with me on a new version of BTSL and he got some new research books on Dutch Navy and Jap CVs. He has two PBEM games going. Two teenage sons in high school. Manager of local Subway which is his true wife (very demanding).
Plus, he just turned 55, so he is slowing down...[:D]

Hmmm - what's that AO TF doing near Midway ...? Another raid around PH perhaps?

42-11-10. Plenty of allied aces this turn. Note the 10 b17s who run into 50 zeros in a later post.

11/11a: I wonder about IJAAF bombing a level 3 fort swamp hex in 3rd jpeg. I guess John liked to drop bombs in mud and watch the crocs get pissed off. BTW, what is the service rating on those Liz 4e planes. (screenie of the Liz plz)

Bombs dropped in a swamp may not explode.
