Mysterious land hex

Post by wobbleguts »

Minor bug report, but it keeps on happening.

For some reason the UK gets an extra land hex added above East Anglia. It hangs around for a turn or two, disappears for a bit and then comes back again. It's done this in all my recent games.

Hasn't affected game play in any way but I thought I should mention it.

Is this perhaps one of your mods? For example, if you were to open your mod in the Editor, does it show that odd hex there?

Wow! It does. And the cursor was a little pen or something and when I clicked the hex next to it that turned into a land hex as well. Not sure how this happened as I never edit the maps.

Obviously I did this by accident. But I have to ask - why would someone want to change the map in such a major way? I
looked briefly at what you can do and it is v impressive. Seems like you could design a whole new world.

The game editor is very finicky, I find myself having accidentally edited things without intending to all the time as well.

This is why, it is the full editor and the same one we use to design the campaigns. Provides a lot of power to essentially design your own custom maps, campaigns etc., and many modders do which is great [:)]

Put in a land hex connecting Britain to France. Now instead of conducting Operation Sea Lion, you can pull off Operation Dry Lion.

Yeah you can, but it's a TON of work.
