Font changed color

So the font changed from black to white so I can't see how many planes take action in a battle or what happens in the combat display. It also changed in sigint and combat reports to white so you can't read it there anyone know how to change this back or what caused it?

No idea but did you recently get a Windows 10 update and did it ask you if you might like a dark theme?

No I didnt.

You can read that report by highlighting the text, which will show in black. Check your Windows Font settings to see if anything accidentally got changed in the Font colour.

Hellsenstrat, have you enabled -colorblind switch perhaps?

Did you find out yet what caused the problem? I've got pink banners around my white letters... Does anyone have an idea?

That sounds like bleed-through, perhaps from having Windows set to transparent Windows?

If not, you should post the string of switches you are using in your game shortcut so we can assess them. Just copy and paste them into your reply. After you have 10 posts you will be able to take screenshots and post them as .jpgs on the forum. That is the best way to get feedback.

Thx! To be honest, I’m pretty much a noob… How do I get to those switches?

I feel a bit frustrated. I just paid 70 euro’s for the game, and now:
- I have those pink borders;
- only 7 scenario’s available;
- each time I switch to another monitor the game crashes somehow;
- and the maps seem more outdated than those in tutorials.

Suggestions?

If you only have 6 or 7 scenarios available, then you have not updated your game.

Just installed AEupdate1126. The result: no more pink borders and a much better resolution. Only a small screen available (no full screen or so). Someday it will work…

Read the thread on slow performance. It deals with the switches designed to make the old game engine work with modern computers, video cards and monitors and speed up game turn processing. There is much discussion of playing the game in a window defined by the switches - you can make the window almost the same size as your screen.

Thx! It seems to work with a mix of SeaBee and the beta version. I found out how to use the switches work as well, although quite easily to change with SeaBee. And no more pink borders!
