supply problem

Post by Incy »

I ran into a supply problem.

Bulgarian units on the coast of Greece are not in supply.

The weather is good, and there are Italian convoys in the east med and Italian coast.
The Bulgarians should be able to trace a basic supply path through Trieste to Munich.

I use 4.2.2

Athens was just captured, and is not yet a secondary. The supply bug was there prior to the Athens attack, so is unrelated to Athens.

Bulgaria is aligned to Germany I presume?

If so, then Bulgarian units cannot use Italian convoys for tracing supply (I believe).

I think I recently was told otherwise in this forum, but I am not 100% positive.

RAW:

Units that don’t co-operate are not otherwise limited. In particular,
they can:
(...)
3. take part in the same convoy chain (unless neutral);

So units can use any non-neutral convoy point on their side for supply purposes. A convoy is no supply source according to RAW.

Version 4.2.2 (confirmed in 4.2.1.1 also)

Another significant supply problem: in my Libyan mess, secondary supply sources between Germany and Italy seem to not link up.

Looks like HQA Manstein is in supply, but does not provide supply itself. Seems like a bug to me.

Note that the German HQs can not use Tripoli in their supply chain. That should, however, not make any difference since the Italian HQI Badoglia has a sea supply link to Italy so the German HQs can use that sea link to get to a primary supply source and thus have no need for Tripoli.

I should add: When I move von Bock one more space away from Badoglio, he also goes out of supply as does Manstein - something is very fishy in there.
