My guess is the AS with supplies will burn for a while!

Japan seems hard pressed to find the units to clear the guerillas...has to be disturbing to see no malus for Chinese supply at this point and in this location.

Still plenty of targets...but I think I will pass this day. Too easy to bombard Colombo...but then again, what a bunch of nice targets!

Two weeks ago, the Commonwealth was evacuating Ledo...and now, it seems the Japanese have pulled back, ceded the tempo to the Allies and are being savaged in the air.

China seems stable, and will most likely make it a few more months (the IJA Tank Divisions might have something to say about that), Singapore is still holding out, Luzon pocket is still holding, Wake Island is approaching level 6 forts, and the Japanese are in trouble in eastern Australia.

Oh my!

Will the arrival of Tojo and the Tank Divisions spark a new offensive? Where is the KB?

That CA TF looks like it is for FT. I smell a withdrawal ...

Interesting, not what I would have thought, and for the life of me I can't imagine why all the shipping at Koggala for so long. I do have a few thoughts but nothing satisfying.

Anyhow, I finished the turn, rushed off to a Dr. appointment, only to realize I left one of my beloved B26 squadrons on attack...they will be going in at Koggala with no protection or sweeps.

Sigh.[:(]

I managed to isolate this IJA Division, but I won't attack, despite have a 3x or more AV. I have seen Chinese troops so devastated on attack...perhaps if I could starve them for a month or more with constant bombing -- but that is not to be.

Content to make Japan react to me and send troops to break the siege, then I will try to do it all over again![;)]

I should have specified I meant the CA TF near Townsville on the previous page. Great Attack on Koggala BTW. [&o]

The Commonwealth Camel Corps at work on resupply? (camels were used in China).

As for the nine fighters returning to Koggala after that attack, I suspect they had been sent over to Addu to cover the CLs there, because your Brit Carrier was spotted the previous turn. Everything is connected in this game - just like IRL!

Oh, ho, ho! Townsville eh? That is something to think about.

The nine fighters at Koggala were there the day before to! They could be damaged or doing duty at night, as I have bombed the port there at night previously.

Remember that when the torpedo bombers don't have torpedoes, they will use bombs. The torpedo bombers set that way are not penalized for Low Naval attacks - which means the Betties, Nells, and such for the Japanese. But that also goes for the Allies and the British will use two 500 pound bombs but Devastators/Avengers will use 4 bombs at 2000 feet - I do not remember if that is what they also have at 1000 feet. That is one way to have a Japanese BBQ on a BB - which the crew may not be able to put out![:D]

A very nice job with the P-39s!

I love those B-25 attack bombers even more after reading a short book by Gen Kinney about Poppa Ginn. You should have highly experienced pilots in those groups once they come out.

April 5th, 1942

Some common sense...our local flight leader aborts the mission...but a few intrepid pilots soldier on.

I think I lost 3 planes on recon/navS missions to op losses here. Will have to track them down.

Not bad bomber losses considering they went in alone.

Remember, if someone says "Dang, I missed you!" when they are holding a smoking firearm, leave very quickly.

Yep!

One of my personal goals for this game is to handle the Allied air forces in a different manner, in my games as Japan it seems the Allies always used a big wrench tactic and just hammered with them...
