Trying to recall name of a scenario

Post by Hellen_slith »

I am trying to recall the name of a scenario, it did not ship w/ game I don't think, was scenario to d/l.

Best I remember, it was a "modern, hypothetical" and one of its nice features, was that each player had some chits for disband. Each player would choose which chit to disband, and each disband would do something like, add enhanced radar units, or enhanced missile units, or enhanced recon, but each player had to choose ONE (or more) to do what it did, so each player might do something different each time they played.

Does anyone recall this scenario? I cannot seem to find it, and cannot recall name. It was set in modern time, like Next War scenarios. Anyway thanks if you remember this scene!

Sounds like you are looking for Falklands War 1982. There is an AAR for it named Falklands Fury.

I used that approach (disband a unit to trigger the entry of a neutral country) in an early version of my Global Conflict 1988 scenario. However, that scenario did ship with TOAW IV so it might not be the one you remember?
The reason I had to do that was the number of Theater Options at the time was limited to 16. That is no longer the case.
I am working on a new, updated version for TOAW IV but need more time to finish it. I will let you know when it's ready for playtesting if you are interested.

Thank you both, yes, it was Falklands Fury I was thinking of! Also yes, eager to see the Global Conflict 1988!
