in-port patrol

Post by eskuche »

I was just naval patrolled by an in-port surface fleet. Port is blockaded, not sure if that matters.
"Fleets must be set to fleet mode at a nonport water hex to patrol."

So you moved next to a port and they intercepted you?

Or did you accidentally right click attack that small port?

I moved one ship from the stack to the red circled hex, for patrol interdicted, then moved it away. So definitely no chance I attacked.

It looks like there is a fleet in 112,18 and when you moved to 113,18 you got intercepted by that stack.

The X,Y is displaying the origin hex.

No, IIRC the interdiction was on 111,18, which is the red circle. I moved one coastal group from 113,18 to test interdiction there, then it ran away with second op point.

Also I'm fairly certain it's the green American CA Houston and the two destroyers, which are also US names? Very unlikely (impossible?) that the UK icon stack holds all of those, and the UK ships didn't show up to the fight.

Will report if I see again, I guess.

This keeps happening. Further groups don't get interdicted, so I don't know what's going on.

I'll check it out more.

I have this in my fix log...

...Fixed intercept from ports with invisible fleets...

Were these fleets invisible?

Yes, they were, since this was turn 2. They appeared as very low recon afterwards.
