Looking messy!

Seems like a major withdraw from Bundaberg! On April 18th there was 38,900 troops spotted at Bundaberg. Bundaberg also now empty of planes...it is a size 3 runway slightly damaged.

Butchers bill...

Ashigara was left with heavy fires, heavy damage, 1 torpedo hit, 68 shell hits. What a beast to still be afloat.

The Ashigara may not be afloat if you consider the float plane ground losses. If she sank, you won the naval battles that turn.

Newcastle is one of my favorite ships, and in most long-running games i've followed she just gets unceremoniously sunk at one point. This is very nice to see (regardless of future events)!

Air losses sorted...

A lot of interesting numbers there. Japanese total losses to date is about 33% higher than the Allies. A very good result this early in the war when Allied aircraft have performance problems. [:)]

And half of the Betty losses are to Ops - one of the drawbacks of using that long range too much!

Losses of Vals and both Kate models are good too!

Many years ago when I spoke with John E (DBB developer) about the apparent lack of heavy artillery for the Allies, he told me the best units to use in that roll are the American CD units. I would ship 2 to 4 of them to Australia and use them for your push up the eastern coast. They will also be good at firing back of Nathan's bombardment TFs.
