UK oil

Post by sveint »

Why does the UK have zero oil?

And why on earth do I have to ship oil from the US through Australia to India/UK?

Oil for the UK/India should come from the Middle East, and be virutally immune to Japanese raiding.

Good question. I just ran into this in my AAR. Japanese can shutdown the UK's fleets by camping the South Pacific convoy route until the US/UK have to shut it down. It is a temporary problem since the US will eventually force the Japanese to withdraw but the damage will have been done at a critical time when the Allies are strapped for fleets to counter the Japanese.

Well there should be a limit...though zero seems a bit drastic.

BUT I don't think giving them unlimited oil would be good either.

A low number so that they can use their ships every so often but not enough so that they can spend forever at sea and it takes time to build up an attack...

Then again with the changes that make it so that the DEI should not fall turn 1...though it is easy to still take it turn 1...
IF it is made that it is not taken they will receive a mad amount of oil for a few turns...then slowly run out.

They really don't need much oil. Keeping five or six ships in operation doesn't require much. They usually send a little to India so it can keep its one air plane flying. I just think they shouldn't be shut down entirely by losing the South Pacific route. Maybe give them a base production of 2-5 per turn.
