Having been a techie throughout a 40+ year career, stuff like this cracks me up.

The sad part that is since retiring, I've forgotten way too much. I guess I kinda 'flushed the buffers', when I got out. So to speak, anyway.

Thanks for the feedback and sorry for those having problems. The forums are so old they're written in a language that no longer exists and been modified so many times so held together with sticky tape, which means we regularly get something falling apart. We have finally found time to upgrade it and we're in the process of moving to PHPBB. It is a big job so I don't want to promise a completion date but it is in progress.

I was getting the same issue. However, since I cleaned out all my temp files in my computer and temporary internet files and cookies I no longer get this error.

According to the url site is written in classic asp, that is Visual Basic as scripting language.

I don't get 504 errors: instead the site just hangs. Does this happen to anyone else?

just as a point of interest, it might be matrix is getting more popular and more busy, so less gateways to go round at peak viewerd,
