Error - Header #5

Post by 609IAP_Thumper »

Just tried to load my first turn of first PBEM game. I manually put the file in the Email Save folder (my email is on another machine than my game machine). On load up it says Error: Could not read Header #5.

I'm running Windows XP, patched current.

Tried several times, but with the same result every time. Any ideas?

Additional info (I am the sender of the e-mail in question):

When I copy the e-mail from the "send" directory to the "play" directory I can open the first German turn.

The game seems not to auto send the e-mail. I get a "send and exit" button, which drops me down to the desktop when used. My opponent does not get the e-mail (I send it later "by hand", as attachment in an regular mail).

My folder "autoemailer" has an exe filecalled "emailsender". It has a size of 0kbn, and won't run when started direct.

I have a UK JustPlay version, am playing on WinXP, and have cable.

Edited to add: The file is also named "Filename_Axs_01.dkp" instead of the filename I put in in the e-mail screen.

The game is in the c:/programs/matrix/korsun folder

I also reinstalled, and it works now as advertised (mostly). Somehow the e-mail sender program got corrupt. If you have an other mail program then Outlook Express you also need to connect the .eml extension to that mail program, or things wont work.

Alexs, thanks for the quick responses and the time you put into it.
