Supply for units in range of depot
I have most of my units sitting with red supply and starving. Its mid 42 and I have depots close to my troops and they seem to be accumulating supply without passing it on to the troops in the front line. I even have units sitting on supply depots (with tons of supply) that are starving. Any ideas?

RE: Supply for units in range of depot
A RANGE FROM 2 - 4. Every unit in my army now has red supply, including units sitting 10-20 tiles behind the front lines sitting on depots????? The game is becoming unplayable as a result. All my rail is fixed and supply is getting to the front line depots and then just sitting there? From my reading of the manual anything within 3 tiles from a depot should be using its own trucks to get supply from the depot and anything further out uses the depot trucks. Depots have received 7000 in freight and are sitting with 13-14000 at the depot and sending out next to nothing.

Checking the commanders report none of my units received supply last turn, although quite a few received replacements

as above, a save or some images would really help. I've never seen what you are reporting so its hard to make a sensible response on the basis of your report.
Clearly depots should be releasing freight but there may be reasons linked to your set up

Is there a proportion that is meant to split the freight into replacements/fuel/supply/ammo?

when I try to compress the file, the zip file is still the same size as the original 2407kb which looks to be too big. Also it tells me I can only upload gif/txt/jpg?

Funnily I don't seem to be able to attach zip files either. Perhaps it is only possible for those who create the forum thread + moderators?
Only gif/txt/jpg is supported when I try to attach the zip file.
Anyway, I'll take a look at the save.

Also, I was not able to view the save since it is from the latest beta. I'm running with the stable version, not planning on upgrading since in the middle of a PBEM game.
However, here is the save if anyone wants to take a look:

ok, I've run it using the latest beta (I can't go back to an earlier build for various reasons).
I set the game as LH-RH, with FOW off, the Soviets were getting supplied pretty normally so its not a fundamental issue in the game code but for the save the only axis unit passing any supply check was OKL in Berlin.
So I run on to T59 Axis turn and I get freight to your units, here's a random example of a pass and of a fail.

Now you do seem to have a lot of admin failures but then units are not showing as failing and still getting no supply.
Then I find units I have never seen before, which are interacting with the supply system exactly as I'd expect:

Given this, is this a modded game? If so, my strong suspicion is when you inserted your new units into the database in some way you disrupted most of the others. As I say in most cases its not that they fail the logistics tests, its that they were never tested.
Also you have 999% of the logistics storage capacity in Berlin which seems a bit odd

Add on more trucks than I'd expect and I have a HtH game at a roughly similar stage.
If its not a modded game, then where has this unit come from.
So either report in the bug/tech forum (not modded) or ask in the modding forum for help as to what may have happened in the unit database.
its not the game code per se, though I would suggest updating to the current beta (its not going to break the game), as the Soviet side is functioning normally as are some of your units.
there is a whole load of secondary stuff you could improve on but no point discussing that till the basic problem is resolved.

RE: Supply for units in range of depot
The no supply messages at the bottom of the supply detail is the key. In this game, the German supply stores have dropped to the minimum, so the entire economy doesn't have enough supplies to provide supplies and ammo. Not sure why, I'll have to look at this more. It might help to have a few saves from back earlier in the game. Usually the German supply pool goes up in 1942 as the production increases, but in this game it's a steady decline until you are out of supplies.
All understanding comes after the fact.

Had a quick look, and it seems like you've edited the economy as well. In the process of editing it, you've also managed to break it completely. Which isn't actually all that hard. Just adding a dozen or so panzer divisions will ensure that you run out of oil/fuel in 1942 as Axis. The industry uses resources, supplies and fuel, as well as freight, and there just isn't enough left for the units (which you've also increased).
