Reports don't stay on the screen

I noticed recently that the situation report at the beginning of my turn and the mpp report at the end just "flash" on the screen and are gone. I'm not doing anything, though occasionally at the end of my turn I will click on other report/event windows to make them go away, but I am not doing this with the two in question.

Generally these only disappear if you click the screen. For it to flash on screen and then disappear would likely only be the case if a double click was perhaps registered by the game. This too would be something that is rare, but I've even seen it on my end as well.

I find it is happening with a lot of frequency, especially with the turn start review of my opponent's turn. I'm not clicking as far as I know. Sometimes I click to remove a window for what is going on, and the click seems to carry over to removing the next window as well. How do I bring up the event menu manually?

Pressing L brings up the reports from previous turns.
