1.01.02 beta MP CTD

Post by Seminole »

Had my first crash trying to save a single player, offline game, but that isn't why I started this post.

For the first time I'm seeing repeated crashes when I sign into multiplayer - before seeing the screen to select a game. Just crashes without an error message and disappears the window.

Click sign in and then it crashes. Usually works the next time I try it, so I didn't suspect the server being down. This morning I was thinking about whether it would do it or not and it crashed at that point twice in a row. Third time showed the games and I was able to load one.

We're signing in ok here. Is this new for you with 1.01.02, or have you always had this issue come up. There were no changes to the server code so there's nothing here on our end that we can think of that could have changed this.

Is anyone else having this experience?

Yeah I've also had some CTDs when signing into multiplayer. Exactly as how seminole described it. Though I haven't had any crashes during a turn I sometimes had to attempt multiple sign ins before I actually got to the list of games.

Do you have a crash dump file (WarInTheEast.exe.<id>.dmp) in C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\CrashDumps?

Thanks. What is the version of the game (exe) for this dump file?

Thanks. What is the version of the game (exe) for this dump file?

It should be 1.00.02. But I'm not sure as the file for some reason is no longer in my file explorer. I'll upload another crash dump that is for sure 1.00.02. This new dump was created yesterday when the game crashed again while logging in to multiplayer.

Edit: The version number is 1.01.02. Not 1.00.02.

Do you have a crash dump file (WarInTheEast.exe.<id>.dmp) in C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\CrashDumps?

Do I need to modify how I launch the program so that is captured? I searched for "crash" folder under the path (C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\) and didn't find one for WitE, only a half dozen or so for other programs.
