One question: does anyone know why I have disappeared two of the Italian garrisons in Ethiopia?

And, on the other hand, I am overwhelmed by the mobilization of the USA, Japan is going to be overwhelmed without a doubt, and I do not see how I am going to be able to defend the West ... not even the technological advantage will be able to counteract the mass of units that I expect from the USA.

Despite paying for the hazing, I am enjoying and learning a lot.

I think you are referring to the garrison units with the blue base. These are tied to Massawa part of country "Italian East Africa" which is an Italian minor. They will a surrender (along with their country) when Massawa is taken.

How are your research levels? I would think the investment you made in diplomacy would have really hurt UK/China research.

Bloody fighting in Russia, Egypt and the pacific. In Egypt allied air turn their attention to the Axis HQs... which I should have done million years ago... but that's what battle of the newbs is all about. :P Allies putting HQ on the frontline on that front... are they running out of land units? Allied strategic bomber campaign have reduced most mines in europe. Japan comes out ahead in the naval battle. Look at the casualties so far. Consider that Japan did not Pearl Harbor!

September 1942,

Just as the Axis was gaining momentum, they are struck by disaster in Russia. Having committed all its fighters to the egypt front, their massive bomber attacks on Stalingrad front was left unescorted and they were intercepted by Russian fighters. City defender held long enough to deliver the counter blow. Runstedt HQ destroyed in Morozovsk. Front stabilize in egypt but the allies in no position to push out west yet. Russia slowly creeping back in land unit count. Germany and the UK seemingly spending half of their respective budget on refitting air fleets.
