T98 7/12/41 The North Afrika front is narrow. I want to hold the Axis here rather than let them stream into Egypt.

T98 7/12/41 As the Russian you think Moscow is safe until you see this. The Axis Bot has yet to make its move.
Normally I would not see this but must take screen shots to show progress and Bot methods.

T98 7/12/45 How can the Soviet tidbit defense in the South hold against this?

T99 7/19/41 Fortress Leningrad must be saved. There are Germans from Norway and the Finnish Army that will advance if Leningrad falls.

T99 7/19/41 The battle for the Deneper must slow the Axis advance as long as possible.

T106 9/6/41 The Moscow defenses are holding for the moment. The Axis is slowly moving forward but that might stop soon. The weather change is still a ways off so I need to halt them in good weather.

T106 9/6/41 The Rostov front is moving slowly east. Here the distances are greater so the Axis will be over extended soon which will stop them.

T108 9/20/41 Here is the Leningrad front. Note the 7th Air Division behind the Soviet line. That came from Norway and they did not walk since they were at Oslo just a few turns ago.

T108 9/20/41 Here is the Moscow front. The Bot has tried to bypass the frontal defenses of Moscow and get east of the city. I have sent in every last unit available to cut off the supply of the Axis units east of Moscow. We shall see what the Bot does next because the bad weather is still a few turns away.

T109 9/27/41 Surprise attack by the Axis Bot in violation of treaty agreements! Some of the Norway troops marched all the way through Finland and attacked from the Mannerheim line towards Leningrad! I did not see this nor expected it. I thought they would go the long way around like they were told to do. But no. They know better.

I expect that there are intermediate objectives that the Bot should follow for the “long” way. My understanding is that objectives which are friendly controlled are ignored and the Bot will take the easiest route to the first enemy controlled objective. Suggest you check the intermediate objective ownership and change as required.

I checked the objective path and I do not see why they ignored many objectives that were closer and were enemy occupied. As seen in the screen shot the units that attacked Leningrad directly simply bypassed all the other objectives due to a Russian blocking force.
There are German units attacking Moscow right now that were assigned to take Athens but they bypassed Athens and went for Moscow which is OK.

Check Track 5. That is the track the units appear to have taken. As massive this scenario is I can see where events and tracks can easily become mixed.

Here is Track 5 for the units attacking Leningrad. They would retreat to Kirkenes and stay for the balance of the war. The scenario I am demonstrating is on track 2 at the present time. It is possible it could change tracks but there would be indications on the recent news for that. Units would stop attacking and retreat to Germany on Track 5 which is the final track for this scenario.
To make the screen shot I changed the Track to 5 and then viewed the units' objective.
Where do you see an indication that it is track 5?
Thanks for looking at it. Maybe I am missing something.

T114 11/1/41 The immediate threat to Moscow is over for now. The Axis Bot bypassed too many Russians and stretched itself too thin. The Bot did reach with 3 hexes of the Kremlin before I had to attack.
In the screen shot you can see the troops that are surrounded and completely out of supply. Now my forces will liquidate the pocket over the next few turns.
I counted 35 full divisions along with many artillery, flak, etc units. It is a "Stalingrad" at Kaluga.
