No good news, Leningrad were fallen, the Soviet army are week now.

Feel free to post Sir Gundam1985. RL is busy for me and playing 3 games at once is making life interesting.

I have put this game and my 2 others on hold until 2by3 fixes the surrender bug, basically unplayable until they fix it.

Love to have the bug turn 1-2 as Germany [;)]

Tbh I feel that in the first turns that 'bug' should be the norm no matter what for the Soviets.

As it is now by how I perceive the game IF the Soviets open a pocket of T1, you may as well just restart or it will come out a wonky game.

True as you will never get a historical pocket after turn 1.

The 2by3 VP rules make running the only option for smart people playing the Russians.

Slow turn. 4th PG pulls back panzer units and moves up infantry units.

Ostinovets doesn't look well defended in that shot.....if you take that port, all those units are isolated and will die, which would be a huge victory

He has alot committted to Leningrad it seems

Leningrad is still holding out. I have pulled back most of the panzer units and most of 18th and 16th are dug in for the winter

The center is stable and also getting ready for winter. Infantry not needed near Leningrad is moved to center so panzer units can move to the south more where needed.

My instinct is you need a November offensive to try and get the Soviets off balance or you risk a right battering in Dec-Jan?

Overall it reads a bit like you are trying to fit #2 onto the gameplay norms of #1 but it'll be interesting to see how this works out. Other AARs have seen the Soviets lose Leningrad to no real detriment to their capacity to land some heavy blows in the winter period.

I agree with Loki on number 2. You have to be hitting the Soviets continuously.

I got no idea, but your probably right.

Not sure where I would be hitting them really as they simply run and with 20 MP after sitting 4 turns in south tanks are all but useless.

The south for me is 3rd on priority in 41. Leningrad is just a slug fest & resource hog on the Germans to take. Thus depriving the rest of the battlefield of gains in 41. In Center you should be able to pound them all the time from turn 5 if set up properly. But that is just me.

I do agree that the typical Soviet Modus Operandi is to constantly retreat.

The Soviet attack fist in winter, the Axis can't focus on offensive.
