Now, given the Canton news buildup, I am tempted to land on the friendly islands in the southern Gilberts and take the dot bases around Baker and Canton, supported with akes I should be able to mount a pretty strong shore bombardment softening process while we have a fairly strong forward base for naval search...given that Arorae can already do that.

Ellice Islands can be occupied by troops from Tahiti area...

Definitely don't want to travel outside of our naval search umbrella...

I wonder if this will trigger a cv clash...I have six to put up against the KB. Then again, this is small potatoes for the grab on Marcus...so we will attempt to do this on the cheap...

That potentially going to change your plans?

A big convoy at Baker does rather suggest reinforcements

Where I live, we are not friendly with our storms and name them . . .
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing! :o

Where I live, the storms are named after each letter in the alphabet, and Storm Desmond was the fourth of the year

Either way, its bloody horrible getting flooded out. Took us seven months till we were back in as well

Not sure how much I can accomplish by taking Katha, but it is pressure on the IJ perimeter.
