bugs that work for you!!!

Post by crazyivan »

I have posted some ?s concerning the bug that in a generated campiagn after your battle you find extra crews attached to your oob units that have had there afvs replaced.this provided to problems 1.the new afvs had untried crews 2.the crews that were standing around with there finger up there @#$ was your prize boys and most likely elite to boot.to fix this the ever helpful team siad to select the crew and then select the asigne unit new hq(the button with the arrow across the officer)then click on your A0 hq unit and poof there gone.this is done in the deployment screen.
some problems creep into this 1.only 5 out of 9 crews disapiared the rest showed up as destoryed units with no value 2.they all come back in the following battle when you get into the deploy mode agian and are listed as a1,a2,a3,a4,etc etc..

i have read other postes saying to change them to infantry units becuase they will be of high exp.this still makes some times messy oobs like infantry in with tank units etc..here is some helpfull things i have done which is mostlikely what you all have done anyway.

1.before you play a generated campi add 2 extra hqs or just 2-3 seperate mg sections, then all you have to do after each battle is change your extra crews to infantry or whatever and then in the deployment screen reasigne them to those hq units and bang you have a growing unit of very exp troops.i my self have created a new ss unit and all my crews become ss to the 2 new hq units ie T0,U0
this keeps your units whole and clean ie tanks just tanks etc.
2.if you don't like the idea of a extra units in your force then it seams to work if you send your crews that bial out in the game to there deaths by walking them up to the nearest enemy and say shoot me and they don't turn up in the units list when you repiar your tanks etc... although its a crying shame to exspend good men when they still can be used to your addvantage.
3.if you are finding the enemys forces are to big which often they are you can set a cap on the core number by going into the preferance screen during a battle and selecting a more reasonable core number and when you fhight the following battle it will be in afect.its a good idea to count your core units first ie AO,BO,CO and so on then give him the same or there abouts and let the support points balance out the attack defend % its works for me.also as your new crews become troops your army grows so you can ajust his core number to keep up a balance of play that you are happy with.
i hpor this is of some help many thanks
