Windowed Mode Strangeness

Hi All, I'm running on Win10, hadn't updated to the new patch was using the old one and had not really played the game since buying in Jan. Wanted to switch to windowed mode so I could read the manual and learn to play.

So when I did, I would be in the game and switch to the pdf. Now this is when it got strange. When I went back to the game the "Bombing the Reich" header was greyed out. It would than phase back and forth from grey to black "Bombing the Reich (Not Responding)". Whilst it was doing this the game was completely non-responsive. I than installed the new patch and same result.

Anya advice on what gives?

Try the old run as administrator, and in the game options, set the directdraw emulator toggle.
