Have the Peggy raids ever zeroed out your aa ammunition on any task forces?
Not so far. They will replenish soon anyway, and on Jan 1 will be able to do so at sea.

The LBA night fighter groups that have seen most combat thus far have modest experience, in the 50's and some in the 60's. I've been heavily biasing top level fighter pilot replacements toward the P-51D squadrons sweeping Japan, and to a lesser degree other squadrons in daytime combat.

• An interloper unit has appeared just SE of LangSon, obviously hoping to disrupt supply lines to our spearhead in China. We have a Bde in each of LangSon, Haiphong, and Hanoi, plus a Bde on the road in between Hanoi and LangSon.

• The whole dang Japanese navy is just outside Palembang. Happily they found our minefield. Sadly it was found by a tanker rather than a carrier or battleship.

• LRCAP over Utan Melintang swatted away strikes against the LST preparing to unload a combat engineer unit there.

His continuing bombardments at Saigon suggest he may think he is reducing your supply (because of the counter-bombardment). If you have enough supply he is only hurting his own troops.

Yeah. He must know that with land bridge + air bridge I have all the supplies east of the Burma jungle that I need. I wonder if her for got about it, or if he is just trying to burn the supplies being produced there so I get less when Saigon is finally captured. Either way the troops there now are getting experience.

• Our troops have some disruption from the naval bombardment but, more importantly, I expect more significant naval bombardments will follow. We have two Bdes and an A/T gun Rgt at Palembang, but they will consolidate their position before assaulting.

• Tarakan's runways were hit hard, as were the empty aircraft revetments. It appears those were the fighters from Palembang and they departed for the Clark Field before our strikes arrived.

• First assault at Soerabaja tomorrow.

• The presence of the IJN heavy units near Palembang without LBA support there might make for an opportunity to strike but we have to wait for our carrier air groups to straighten themselves out.
