game freezing

I load a save game and then as fortifications are being built it happens. The computer tries to start a new game. Theres a second icon of WitP appears at the bottom of the screen and a screen shot of the play menu.[X(][X(][X(][X(]

I think more detail here, against AI, PBEM, which side, what turn, picture etc.

One thing you can look at in the mean time is the switches used when you start the game up. IF your unsure what I mean mine look like this.

Don't forget: the switches must be applied in the shortcut to the WITP-AE.exe file, NOT the Autorun.exe file! See the thread on slow performance for details or just use the new Seabee Utility by Kovar that just asks you which switches you want and installs them in the right place. (It also will do the install for you and create the direct-to-game shortcut for your desktop).

Seabee utility by Kovar? would shortcuts stop the second loading of the game while the original is playing?
