air to Ground Attack of specific Units/Hexes ?

Post by Endsieg »

Is this only possible if one plays the air war fully manual? (issues specific, targeted Ground Attack air directives)

Or can one(somehow)add Ground Attack air directives while playing with AI Air Assist on in the main Game Options?

This is the only problem I have using automated AI Air Assist.

depends on how you are using the AI-assist.

If fully automated (ie press F12 to trigger the phase), then that will over-write anything you created.

If partially automated so the AI-assist triggers when you press the button then yes you can but the order is important.

So run the AI-assist and it will generate its pattern of missions etc and then you can modify to add your specific choices, press f12 and the hybrid order set will run

ah, thats my personal description - which obv makes no sense to anyone but me [8D]

If you set up a game so that the AI-assist is forced, then you activate it twice a turn when you press F12. Alternatively you can use the AI-assist in any game at any time by pressing the AI button.

While they work the same, the latter then allows you to step in and do some changes before the missions execute. So its not strictly accurate but that is what I refer to as 'partially automated'
