How to survey the map before game starts ?

The sequel of the legendary wargame with a complete graphics and interface overhaul, major new gameplay and design features such as full naval combat modelling, improved supply handling, numerous increases to scenario parameters to better support large scenarios, and integrated PBEM++.

How to survey the map before game starts ?

I probably should have asked this 20 years ago with ACOW but..

If I select a scenario against the computer and the computer goes first I find my stuff being attacked and blown up before I even know where I am.

So what do I do in order to look at the map, see what stuff I've got and see what stuff I know about the enemy - before I press begin?

You can always open it in the scenario editor.

You can always open it in the scenario editor.

That's what I'd do. If you're a "no spoilers" kind of player, you could open the scenario in hotseat and then immediately end the turn for Force 1 without moving anything. Once you're happy with the setup you can then start again against the PO.

"Absolutely nothing."

Ok, thanks for the replies.

Does this tie in with the thread on how to make a Pre-Turn - ? And didn't one of the old tutorials (Anonymous Heroics) have something like that.
