Problem to load a PBEM save

Post by Brutus »

I've problems to load a save game of my current 41 campaign game. We are playing Version 3.2, and had no problems until now.
If I try to load the game, everything seems to work well first. I type the password, then I make the delay settings, press the accept button and the turn begins showing the industry and oil numbers. Directly after that, WiR is thrown back into a small window and the following message appears

It says something like You cannot execute this graphic application in a window. The application is stopped, until you maximize it with Alt+Enter. Please make sure that the properties are correct.

If I hit the ok button, WiR is shown as follows

I'm wondering about the divide error message. Something like this seems to be more logical than window-problems that should have to do something with the exe itself (and the exe was not changed - I can load any other saves without problems).

I'm using Win 98. It would be great if anyone here has an idea what is the problem and how it can be solved :)
If there is no solution, we can take an older save and play the last turns again, but I would like to know the problem in any case to avoid something like this in the future.

Thank you in advance,
Brutus

might be a bad save, but try the old standard first - restart your confuser, then try. otherwise you may have to go back a turn, but even then make sure your opponent restarts his confuser before he redoes it. you'd be surprised at how often that fixes a problem! probrably won't work, but always worth a shot!
