Cannot install the game.

When i try to install the game it fails with this popup appearing even although i am not trying to install it on the C drive

Have you tried running the installer as an administrator? I don't know if people have been successful installing on non-C drives.

Yes I tried to install it on the C drive as well and as an Admin. It had previously been installed on an external hard drive but that hard drive broke. I am trying to install war in the east 2 again on the new external hard drive but it throws the error constantly when the installer is trying to install the uninstaller. This is the only game that refusing to install.

Check if that folder exists and remove it. If you previously had the game installed, even if on an external hard drive, the uninstall file from that install might still exist there. And as it is Windows folder there might be some issues overwriting it.

Better yet, remove the game via "add or remove programs"

Already tried that and the same result of it complaining about the uninstaller. It appears in add and remove but complains there is no uninstaller.exe

I would not install in the Windows main directory, that is most likely your issue.

Make a directory like c:/matrix games and install it there.

That is the game's uninstaller that is supposed to be installed to a folder within your windows directory.

Options to test:
1) Running the game installer with elevate right, right-klick on it and select "run as Administrator"
2) Temporarily disable antivirus as it may block access to windows folder

HA! that was it, the antivirus. I had created an exception for the installer but it seems to have been blocking it anyway. Thank you so much!

Just for info - which AV software are you using?

Oh right. I was ill and forgot to reply to this. I contacted slitherine support via email and they told me to run the PC in Safe mod to install it which worked but then i had problems updating it. Both the in launcher and manual exe would fail to run properly. Turning off my Anti virus allowed it to run. I am using AVG anti virus
