Caspian Sea What is sinking my transports

I am playing Soviet in 41 campaign and I keep getting sunk in the Caspian sea. What is doing this ? the nearest German air Base is in Genichesk I think.

Losses here represent normal wear on transports.

I see. well the weather was bad. There will be an investigation and the admiral will be shot. 2 transports in two weeks and the loss of more than 1.200 men is not on.[:-]
