North, still two panzers near Leningrad.

We lose 3 corps and get 3 new armies. At this point I don't think we can save Moscow. Land experience is 36%, air 39%.
In the south the Axis are spread very thin, we move in to flank some Romanians.

RE: How to possibly save the Soviets.
With more than 2 months to go I don't see any hope of holding Moscow. Stjeand is complaining that our units are holding better than usual. He's not aware - of course - that many of them are Anti-tank.

I may rail out our one spare army at Leningrad next turn.

RE: How to possibly save the Soviets.
You are doing about as well as can be reasonably expected in the current ruleset. The only thing I question is not putting armies into the queue from the getgo. Even doing one a turn.
You're on a good pace on gaining experience, if nothing else.
I don't see how Moscow holds. Between an April start and the current state of the game if the German wants it he is going to get it and more besides.
On the whole I like your strat, with some tweaks. But I'd like it better if Alvaro did something real about the game balance here.

Konev is killed. We lose 4 corps, and one shattered. We get a single new army.
Land experience is 38%, air 40%.

You are right. It's a bit late but I'll be building a 39-tech army every turn from now on.

In the south we retake Dnepro - it's five production is not bad. A minor mistake by the Axis.

RE: How to possibly save the Soviets.
Moscow is clearly the prime objective for the Axis. I send everything available to this front (it's not much).
Normally I don't spend speciality points on units that might just get overrun, but the 26th Army is in an ideal situation for AT.

The Axis also want Leningrad and I just cannot spare any reserves here.

RE: How to possibly save the Soviets.
The Soviet air force is no longer operational. And while Axis panzers are tired, our defenses are just barely holding. At least 3 more turns to go.
I spend another 100 speciality points on Moscow.

Moscow falls. We lose a single rifle corps. The only thing that counts now is not to get too many units eliminated.
Still we are perfectly on track for a Soviet collapse in 1942.

We lose two armies as the Axis surge towards Gorki. Experience is 39%. I've seen this exact game play out many times now, no matter which side I play or what strategies are used.
