Question

Post by Fallschirmjager »

I have been playing WiR alot to try and get better so I can play hot seat with some friends

Anyways
What button allows you to see which units are under which HQ
Im playing the Germans and its August 10th 1941 and I think my units are already getting pretty badly mangled

Also
Is it ok to let the computer control production?
Or should I do it myself?
If I want to do it myself...how do I go about doing that?

One last question
How do I transfer units between fronts?
And is this a good idea to do?

Thanks in advance for the help

There are two ways to highlight all units under some HQ:
1) select HQ and press o. This doesn't always work.
2) select a unit and press the "HQ" button under the map.

There is some advantage to be gained from controlling production, but not a very big one. To change it you click on a city, then on the "CITY" button under the map. You get a list of factories. You can only change the production of aircraft and tank factories. Clicking on one of these will bring up a list of items and you can select what you want.

You generally don't want a unit to be very far from its HQ. To change HQ you click on the unit once, press Alt+h, then click on the new HQ.

To see a list of hot keys you can press ? (shift+/).

I hope this helps. Image
