Matrix forum posting delay

Post by nukkxx5058 »

Guys, did you also noticed that there's now a pretty long delay when posting a new message ? It used to be instant but now it takes several seconds (10+ seconds?) before a message is actually posted.

Or is that just me ?

thx

I'm still getting an odd pattern of time outs, not available or very slow posting speeds, and then a few minutes later completely stable.

Given what has been said about a wider upgrade I assume this is unavoidable for a wee while?

edit - this took about a minute to actually get accepted but I've just done a post in a beta forum that took immediately

I wrote 10+ seconds but it's actually rather 30+ seconds ...

This is just speculation but the beta forum might have the new updated software while the older ones are being worked on.

There are occasional timeouts that cause this, I get some database errors or somesuch.

It's all about the old forum, which is barely functioning at this point.

If the aging forum is anything like my aging body I'm surprised it works at all. [:D]

As a sidenote to this topic, I would just like to let the world know that it's inconvenient with the 10 post then 7 day wait to be allowed to post a link... I can't for the life of me figure out what my decade old account on here is, so yeah, here I am, leaving comments so I can do what I want to do...
