Ports -- Which way in/out?

Post by marty01 »

There are a large number of Ports in which it is almost impossible for me to tell which hexes they can be entered/exited from. This is a key piece of information if you are trying to blockade the port. A few examples that are difficult for me to decipher include: Ambon (66,38), Weda (67,40), Baybay (64,51), Osaka, Kitayushu, etc. Even Hiroshima is a little weird for me to figure out -- does it open to the sea of Japan -- or to the south toward hex 74,77. I wish the map had some visual clues -- arrows or whatever -- that would make this easier to quickly decipher.

Ports can be blocked from a water side.

Small ports on single islands 1 ship
Large ports connected to other land/water hexes 3 ships.
