Airbase TOE

Post by AlbertN »

Greetings,

I've noticed that a Level 1 Airbase has the same TOE of a Level 3 Airbase. (At least playing Axis - have not checked for Soviets but I suspect it's the same).

Wouldn't a larger airbase supposedly require more support, more flak etc (where populated by planes)?

Also is there a way to issue personnel in advance to an Airbase before air units arrive?

You can seed the airbase with recon planes to get some personnel. I would recommend practicing it before implementing in a game though.

Then you can fly the recon out and bring in something like fighters to the base. Much much harder to do with bomber types. But there isn't a magic button to get personnel there than that I know of.

Actually no. The bases have way too many guns currently. Most bases hardly had anything.

I am referencing personnel, ammo, supply. Sorry for not specifying that.

Aren't those adjusting automatically with the number of planes?

The supplies, fuel, ammo and support squads will over time but not the amount of flak.

The air support squads should go up or down with the aircraft but the other elements are fixed. Ideally we'd have different TOEs for different size airbases but this is low on the priority list.

Thanks for the answer Joel.
Good to know they'll have different TOE, somewhen in the future.

I personally feel the AA guns pretty low in general - at least for the upfront bases that may get easily 'visited' by unwanted guests.
