<summary>Please adjust the minimum engagement altitude of the SA-5.</summary>
<detail>In DB3000 V491 the SA-5 shoots down an A-10 at 305'AGL at a distance of 43 km/23Nm and more.
Minimum alt for the SA-5 missile is according to this information, for the first 38 km 1000' and beyond that distance 3000'and going as high as 15-21000' km at max range.
Also the SA-5 battery fires within minimum range of the missile.
This image is for the Vega missile but other details of the Dubna missile variant are in the first evidence link.

RE: Stickied thread for minor database issues?
Query? A genuine question not a criticism.
Plus I ask because I wanted to use the aircraft in a half written Nigerian/UK scenario.
Has there been a decision to move to generic entries for some aircraft entries?
Recent Master updates for DB491 for Nigeria and Turkmenistan are using identical load outs which do not appear to be based on any nation specific evidence?
#5358 - M.346FA Master (Turkmenistan - 2021)
#5262 - M.346FA Master (Nigeria - 2021)
The FT trainer has an equally impressive list of advanced expensive load outs.
#5359 - M.346FT Master (Turkmenistan - 2021)
Load outs for
Brimstone - (not actually made any more from a perspective of DB versions as the production variant now is essentially Brimstone 2 (but just confusingly labelled as Brimstone by the manufacturer)?)
both AIM-9 and IRIS-T ?
AIM-9L - is an old missile and made by who in the 21st century?
IRIS-T - European manufacturer selling to states with issues over human rights?
Snakeeye -
SNEB 68mm rockets? But no Hydra or CRV-7?
GBU-32/38/49/12/16
SPICE-250 Lizard TEBER etc
Just seems a bit incongruous given the previous efforts to keep it nation/state specific?
Thanks
K

<summary>Gabriel V (id#3648) runs out of fuel before max range; also has wrong fuel type</summary>
<detail>In db491, the max range for the Gabriel V was changed from 28 nm to 108 nm. However, the fuel quantity was not changed from 3.3 minutes, which with a fuel burn of 1 unit/second and a speed of 570 knots, makes the missile run out of fuel after just over 31 nm.
Also, the fuel type of rocket fuel does not match up with the engine type of turbojet.</detail>

<type>UPDATE</type>
<summary>Please update the UAE F-16E Desert Falcon, the Israeli F-16I and F-15I to add a terrain following radar capability. </summary>
<detail>The F-16I and F15I fighters are equiped with LANTIRN which gives the possibility to fly 200' above the ground. Currently 1000 AGL is the minimum.
All this is only possible when the AN/AAQ-13 navigation pod (which contains a radar) is turned on. So EMCON settings are influential.
The UAE F-16E radar has the capability to fly as low as 100'. Currently this is 300' AGL.
Quote:
It can also hold a digital terrain elevation database (DTED). The DTED for an operational area is a powerful tool that provides terrain elevation and resultant ground clearance when combined with aircraft altitude.
For low-altitude ingress, the aircraft has two terrain-following (TF) modes. One, database terrain following (DBTF), uses the DTED to assure terrain clearance. The other, radar terrain following (RTF), uses the APG-80 to establish terrain separation. The pilot can select which TF mode he wants to use, and altitudes from 100ft (30m) to 1,000ft can be selected and flown manually or hands off. Without the radar (only DTED) it is not possible to fly below 200'.

<summary>Please update F-35A B61 loadout with the new B61-12</summary>
<detail>
The F-35A of the USAF and other countries (Belgium, Holland, Italy) will integrate the new B61-12 free-fall nuclear bomb. It has also been integrated in the USAF F-15E.
The B61-12 is designed to have four selectable explosive yields: 0.3 kilotons (kt), 1.5 kt, 10 kt and 50 kt.
There should be at least two versions of the bomb in the database with different yields, the 0.3 and the 50 kT.
It would also be interesting to add old versions of the bomb like B61-11 with different antibunker capacities and yields.

<summary>Please update the radar & missile performance of #3365 and #3366 (Modernised SAMP/T Fr/It) </summary>
<detail>Unit #3365 and #3366 are supposed to represent the SAMP/T NG SAM system. The NG is equipped with the Ground Fire 300, which ingame has a 110nm range (200km). This is incorrect, as the Ground Fire 300 was designed to detect and track ballistic targets at up to 400km. See evidence#1 and #2 section for two Thales press report about the radar, describing it as able to track "simultaneously a wide range of targets, including ballistic missiles, with maskless coverage of 360 ° in azimuth, up to 90 ° in elevation and within a radius of 400 km" ("suivre simultanément un vaste éventail de cibles, tels que les missiles, y compris balistiques, avec une couverture sans masque sur 360° en azimut, jusqu’à 90° en élévation et dans un rayon de 400 km"). The 200km range of the current in-game Ground Fire isn't markedly better than that of the legacy SAMP/T using the Arabel radar (90nm,165km), and as such does not allow the in-game SAMP/T NG to deal with the threats it was designed to counter.
Another issue is that the Aster 30 Block 1NT is given a max target speed of 6500kts in CMO. This is not coherent with MBDA's claims that the missile can engage 1500km-ranged ballistic missiles, as the reentry velocity of these missiles is closer to 3500m/s (6800kts). See evidence#3 and #4 for the 1500km figure.
Finally, the system is called SAMP/T NG, and is distinct from the legacy SAMP/T. It is not a modernisation of the SAMP/T but rather a new system reusing some components of the legacy SAMP/T (much like the SA-10/20 families).
Thanks
