Do BETAs run slower?

Post by MarkShot »

Just curious.

I mean the beta game, and not the beta players. :)

Since many times, betas will include debugging code assertions and log generations, not present in release code which tends to slow things down.

Thanks.

Betas shouldn't run any slower than official versions.

Our Betas are basically the same as official release versions just with need of testing by a wider playerbase.
Once that is done without serious problems it will become an official release.
