Lowpe is back and we are moving again [:D]

China not far away from cracking. Once I can get into the open plains it will be all over.

2 x Arm divs (from Manchuria) are forming up and getting ready for deployment. Probably Singapore to start off with.

The only other activity is around the Central Pacific.

The occasional shore bombardment and heavy shipping activity. Still can't figure out if it is a major deception plan or the real deal.

KB continues to refit with radar and A6M5s so still some time away before it can investigate. Happy to wait and see.

Don't forget that Allied players wants a nice secure, and relatively short LOS between San Fran and Sydney. It takes those plentiful 12 knot xAKs two months for a round trip. It's a big deal to shorten it by a week. I like having a chain of PBYs from Pearl to at least lower Solomons to cover all possibilities of raiders sneaking by.

Time for an overdue weekly update.

First off, Bataan finally fell. The PIs are all now under the Rising Sun flag. A skillful defense by the Allies which was undone by a lack of supplies.

No more green icons!

The most active theatre at the moment as I try to break into the plains by July.

Again as expected, another skillful defence being conducted by Lowpe but he is up against it. Interestingly he has shortened his lines a couple of times and shifted units back towards the central plains which has actually benefitted me on the flanks.

Next month will be fascinating.

The USN continues to loiter around Christmas Island and lets itself get spotted every few turns.

I still think this is a decoy.

I have no intention of chasing him around the Pacific. The nightmare scenario for me is Singapore being reinforced and re-supplied.

KB continues to refit and upgrade to A6M5s.

Scoreboard- June was a very quiet month but July is starting to hot up.

August will be full on once the Armoured Divisions are redeployed out of Manchuria.

No major action over the last 10 turns or so.

The Empire is busy redeploying forces from the PIs for the Singapore assault. Should have close to 6 to 8 divs including the 3 tk divs which should give the starving defenders something to think about.

Plenty of manoeuvring happening in China as the IJA searches for gaps to exploit with armour and air. Getting a bit harder as the allied perimeter shrinks and the IJA closes in for the end game.

The critical battle directly west of Sian has started.

The frontal assault battering ram consists of a variety of tank regts and an inf div supported by over 100 a/c.

Another 2 inf divs are flanking the position moving east and west of his blocking posn.

Success here over the next week will make the Allies overall posn very difficult.

The first battle's results.

His lack of guns and supply should have this posn rolled up in the next week despite the number of troops and the terrain.

Forces are slowly assembling for the assault on Singapore.

Going to use 4x inf divs and 3x Armd Divs. Old Yamashita after a difficult campaign in Western Australia has been evacuated and will now lead the assault as head of the 25th Army.

Of all of the things Lowpe could do presently to cause me grief, a massive reinforcement of supply and troops into Singapore is my greatest fear.

Accordingly the IJN has taken a strong blocking posn in the straits in the unlikely event he decides to go for it.

The 70K garrison is completely out of supply with the IJA bombing at will at 8K which would be normally suicide.

I'm hoping Singapore falls in less than 2 weeks once the battle commences.

The Pacific continues to be his main area of focus.

Lowpe has also cleverly got PBYs into a number of dot bases and can easily see any shipping coming into and around Baker + Canton Island.

I'm happy for him to play down here until Singapore, Burma and to a lesser degree China are cleaned up a bit.

Some economic data.

The A6M5b which I love is progressing well.

Plenty of armament points already and trying to really build the veh points as well.

Scoreboard

The key pieces are now already in place to take this game into 45.

How far into 45 is the million dollar question.

Do you know that if you go to the Industry screen that you can increase the factories and other industries by 1, 5, 10, or even double the number? The most that can be done at a time is double the size even if it is not fully repaired. That way, you can get your research factories to exactly size 30?

I mention this because you have some research factories at size 32.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing! :o

Thanks Ranger, yes I have adjusted a few based on your previous advice. Will adjust the last couple whenever I remember to.

Once again thanks for the tip. [:)]

China- just about battered my way through this important hex.

Lowpe trying to bring reinforcements from the North West to block the western push.

Getting closer each day to collapsing the organized resistance. Once a break through is achieved I believe his Eastern front will disintegrate fairly rapidly. Individual Chinese units will still offer stubborn resistance in good defensive terrain but coordinated Army+ defence will slowly ebb away.
