A post with some substance and meaning from Jess!

:D :p ;)

Very nice statement Jester...I second that from myself and my family.

Every American should have a healthy respect for our Veterans (past and present) and take a moment even if in silence to say "thank you" for what they have done for us and our nation.

Salute!

Rememberance Day in Canada here....I feel on the edge of tears all day long....especially hearing the old talk of their memories and sorrows that never grow old.
I think of my grndfather who served in the Canadian army in WW1; First Division head machine gunner who survived a snipers bullet only because he leaned to relieve a cramped arm muscle and got the bullet otherwise directed for his heart.

He was in the first wave at Vimy Ridge and was gassed at Ypres and survived it all to live a good life on his farm he pioneered on the prairies of Saskatchewan and live to his late nineties.

God Bless and keep them all.....thank you, we remember always!

Aye! 'Thank you' seems so insufficient.

(Capt. Pixel bows his head humbly and says a little prayer to those that have and are sacrificing so much)

Thank you
