Advice Please

I would appreciate some advice please.

I have an Anniversary Coupon that expires at the beginning of December. I am torn between this and Decisive Campaigns: Ardennes Offensive. I would have gone straight for the Campaign Series: Vietnam game, but that is now not out until January next year.

I have some limited experience with JTCS but that is now almost unplayable on modern systems. At 2560 x 1440 resolution, the text is almost unreadable.

I much prefer the scale of the Campaign Series, as I find smaller battles more manageable and like playing at platoon level.

The main thing holding me back is whether the changes and advancements between JTCS and Campaign Series Middle East are worth investing in, even though it is based on very old code? Is it now playable at 2560 x 1440 resolution?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would bet that the coupon won’t work on a new release? I am able to play my games fine with that resolution on a 34” monitor

That is very helpful. I have a 30" monitor and 2560 x 1440 is the recommended resolution.

Do you notice many other enhancements over JTCS?

Don't forget that CS Middle East will also be brought up to CS Vietnam standards with the CSME 3.0 Update late next year.
