Reinforcing island units without losing entrenchement

Post by ncc1701e »

How I could merge an infantry division with another one on a one hex island?
I don't want to lose the entrenchement level of the division already there.

Just to precise, I was willing to merge one infantry division with the one already on the island. But, it seems impossible.

As an example, I am bringing a division with naval transports on the beach hex of a one hex island.

But, for an unknown reason, the unload button is not available if you already own this hex. The button is only available if the hex is unfriendly.

As such, this is impossible to use Alt + Right Click to merge the two infantry divisions.

You can invade the friendly beach spending landing ships and then combine. You retain the entrenchment.

You might want to try it with someone other than Japan as you can't merge Japanese divisions
