Motorized infantry

Post by ncc1701e »

I really like what you have done for motorized infantry with the 2 dots.
It indicates that a 30/30 corps is consuming oil.

This is nice.

Is it possible to retrofit this in Warplan please?

Thanks a lot

Well not interested enough to post, but yeah I like it.

But the most interesting thing for me about your post (since I don't own Warplan Pacific) was to see where I live near Vancouver shown on your map screenshot. I was surprised to see all the clear terrain in the interior of British Colombia and that the Fraser River and Rocky Mountains have disappeared. As well I see Victoria didn't make the cut as either a City or even a port. Also surprising as this is where the main Canadian naval base on the West Coast was located (and still is). Is there any way to even access Vancouver Island? During the War a Japanese submarine shelled a lighthouse on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Of course, none of this is relevant to the game.

Here is one more for you. The Island is a dead end. No port, no Victoria port.
No Japanese invasion also. [;)]

Thank you for posting.

British Columbia and Alberta are not geographically accurate; but as I said it is probably irrelevant.

There is not much operation out there indeed. Hope the WP2 map will be enhanced compared to WP1.

One suggestion. Is it possible to attach the extra move point to advancement level?

The UK army was motorized very early. I would assume the same for Canada and USA. As such, put oil consumption and the extra move point as soon as their infantry corps are reaching Assault 1940 or Anti-tank 1940.

The Russian army was motorized with all the USA trucks received. So, put oil consumption and the extra move point as soon as their infantry corps are reaching Assault 1944 or Anti-tank 1944.

And, of course, nothing for the Axis. The lack of German trucks is known.

What do you think? It would be fun to see some motorized Red Army infantry corps fighting with none motorized ones.
