Can the ai teleport out of a zone of control hex

Post by king171717 »

I was unable to completely pocket Soviet forces by two hexes. however, I have panzer divisions on both sides of the soviet control hexs making those two hexs have ZOC. However, they have a unit that is keeping the pocket open. I am just wondering if the AI is able to teleport out of the pocket as I am playing 90 vs 115.

In the same campaign I failed a pocket by one hex and they were unable to mass move out of it. I think this will still be the case.

The AI on 110+ shouldn't be able to move out of ZOC. If you want, send a screenshot.

aye, sounds wrong. Joel will probably want a save of the situation if you have that and maybe put a report in the tech support section so it gets picked up

I know the AI can't teleport out if it has to move zoc to zoc. Not sure about situations where the AI has to move into a zoc but does not have to move zoc to zoc, since leaving a zoc only costs 1 MP. I don't think they can teleport in this case, but I'm not sure.
All understanding comes after the fact.

So the only units to escape out of the hole in the pocket were units close to the hole (4 hexs) and one mech div that was able to move across and out. The rest started and finished in the pocket with movement of course.

Very happy with this. No need to worry :)
