Good Sunday evening - Tithe. [&o][&o][&o]
Uh-oh! You dangled another one. But since you are getting ready to move your household, I will leave it dangling and you can claim it in the morning ... [:)]

I appreciate the generosity, BB, but I can't claim it more than 18 hours later. [:D]

So much going on right now I'm having trouble remembering my name. It doesn't help that work is becoming very crazy just before, during, and after my move. Of course, I knew it would be like this as this time of year is always crazy at work.
You could do what the Armed Forces did to me - every time I was posted somewhere, I was sent off on temporary duty somewhere else and my wife handled most of the move! Of course, back in the day we didn't have so many things to move by we did have a baby or two. Fortunately my wife was great a multi-tasking.

If it still fits, just put on an old uniform with a name tag still on it . . . [8D]

A busy "hurry up and wait day!"

Leg pain se I went to the hospital in the next town. It might be a blood clot inside my leg or shin splints which, if so, it is probably due to my right foot. Does anybody need a picture of that? [&:]

So go to a restaurant for breakfast which I ate fast due to some pharmaceuticals in me . . .

Then I walked 5 or 6 blocks to a store with either the DVT or shin splints in me since I had a couple of hours before an ultrasound . . .

Then I got on a bus to go to the hospital and since I do not bother to pay for my ride, I gave the bus driver a "tip" of a long john bavarian creme, frosting, and chopped peanuts on it . . .

Then the ultrasound, prior to which I said at least it is my leg so we are bot checking if it is a boy or a girl . . .

No DVT but I had just missed a bus back to town where I reside and I would have over a two hour wait for the next bus . . .

So with the shin splints, I walked about another 6 to 8 blocks to another store where I ended up getting a ride back to where I reside . . .

Of course I gave that bus driver, who I know is married, a candy bar . . .

Hurry up and wait . . .

Winter arrived. Snowed Wednesday and Thursday with winds gusting up to 60 mph it was a bit of a blizzard at times. A dusting of snow this morning. Been cool in the upper 20’s. And so it goes for the next five months. My 63rd winter.

Nope, I was a walk in to a local clinic. Since I was a walk in, the appointment was done rather fast but the ultrasound was the big wait. So I just did other things and got some exercise in.

Tithe. Long overdue. My apologies, I've remiss , as well as absent. [:(]

No need to apologize. Hope that you may recover further.

BTW, I too had a stroke that stopped me for a while.

Nothing with the eyes though. Couldn't handle the mouse for a bit.

Although I did have eye trouble. Detached retina. Its kinda OK these days.

At any rate, drop in from time to time when possible.

I have run in full screen since 2009. I loved full screen. Now with win10 and now win11, I'm in windowed mode. It's not full screen but it works best with windows....GP

Glad to hear it's not a DVT. I've been dealing with a significant one in my right leg since my bike accident last August.

Hi'ya, Schani! Winter sort of arrived here, too. We dipped below freezing last night....30F....but at least it will be 72F and 75F tomorrow and Thursday. [8D]

Yeah, windowed mode is the only way I know to prevent the "bleed through" issues. But, I'm quite happy running windowed with a size set to "almost" full screen.

Good morning,

Yes, I am pretty happy with Windowed mode, it's not excessively large, but I can compensate for that by changing my screen resolution.

Now to see if there is a tutorial in the manual (I know there was one in the original WitP version, but not sure about the AE one).

Good afternoon and or evening as well...

Has anyone else noticed that instead of helping new players with AE that some veterans of the game would rather talk about search skills of new players? Why not help them learn how to search for their answers instead of berating them. I too get frustrated when the same question is asked over and over again. But I have a choice, answer or not....GP

I agree, GP. Too many folks have a problem with simply choosing not to respond to a post.

Pfft... n00b. [:'(]

Keep in mind that I did have a choice whether or not to answer your post. As usual, I chose for the more annoying option. [:D]

I thought maybe you got caught up in the fall of Sauron's black tower in Mordor!
Glad to see you are still about. Welcome back.

Image
Thank you. I'm not really back per se . I had a stroke just after last Christmas which left me pretty much blind in my right eye. (Despite nearly a year of getting shots in the eye , I can't read at all with it. Unfortunately that also has mead it difficult to read , especially computer screens). I've been "lurking " occassionally , and my long suffering partner in a PBEM , "Geoff the gorn" has put up with my trying to work on our PBEM.

But I'm really not all that active on a computer these days. It's always good to look in and see that you guys are still mostly here though.

So sorry to hear about your stroke, Steve! That's terrible news. [:(] Laura and I wish you the very best and an ongoing recovery...

It doesn't help that work is becoming very crazy just before, during, and after my move.
