The Great War of Archimedes

Post by Rising-Sun »

Did keywords search, surprise none have mention this title. I was out picking up few things at Walmart, then i saw this and wasnt sure what it was. There a burning wrecked warship and the top mast look similar to Yamato and also noticed has Japanese names on top of it. So i read on, something about pre-WWII, the Japanese Navy commissioned the creation of the new "Yamato Class".

So this will take you back to 1933 to the drawing board coming up with new bigger warship ideas. The movie is mostly Drama and have very little action into it, showing fate later on when she was surrounded by USN planes and finally took enough damage and started to sinks, then exploded.

The weird parts, i never noticed, that when Yamato manage to show down one of those warplane, pilot bailed out. After landed in the water, a PBY flew in and picked up the pilot and left. Right in the middle of the fight! I dont remember reading anything about that, but it did stunned some crew and officers onboard the Yamato. Left a link down below if you want to see the trailer...

"Yes darling, I served in the Navy for eight years. I was a cook..."
"Oh dad... so you were a God-damned cook?"

My neighbor and I both enjoyed it. He was a surface officer in the USN and watched it twice.

This is a very nice movie.
