Can AI use officer cards / reinforce units through officers?

Can AI use officer cards / reinforce units through officers?

As per title, after reading the manual it's not clear to me if AI can reinforce its units through regimental or divisional officers just like we do using Command Points.

The AI uses the officer cards just like human players. Same rules. Though admittedly the AI is not as good as humans in using them at the most opportune moment.
