2nd round rolls Axis 10 Allied 1.

No combat. Should Allies have found with CV and CVP in box 0?

Could be that the CVP has short range and don’t get Naval Search bonus.

Impulse #6 (Axis)

Land: Germany
Combined: Italy, Japan
Naval:

Axis port strikes the US TRS in Marseilles. Two Axis NAV3, and two escorting FTR2, are included in the raid. Two more Axis FTR2 can be added in the next step. CW has three FTR2, and US has one FTR2, available for interception.

Will Allies intercept the port strike on Marseilles?

7 and 5 factor CW fighters (I think from target hex) will intercept. Better as front fighter.

First one to be aborted to Marseilles, second to woods with 6-1 GAR.

If both stay to the end, then better one to Marseilles and the other one to the woods.

Allies has 3 surprise points. Will any be used at this point? (Allies 9, Axis 10)

No thanks, save it to decrease damage. It matters if only one NAV makes it.

Axis wins the first round.

Does Allies stay? I think there will be an opportunity to use surprise points if they stay (at this point).

We stay. We count on luck and target bomber.

Use points to reduce damage.

Fighter retuns to Marseilles.

One bomber was cleared.

This is MWIF picture number 1000 that I made for posting in this AAR thread. I suggest that there has been some progress since we begun this game. [:)] I hope that I will make it to at least double that before it ends.

And the 4th round goes to the Allies as well. That Hurricane unit fights heroically.

Next time Hurricane is front fighter and new ”superior” models follow to see how the job is done.
