i dont understand why some AOG wont fly GS

for example, i dont understand why my STG 77 AOG wont fly on ground support? They are attached to the right command, the air base has all the needs, they have drop tanks and range. I have JG AOG flying GS out of the same base.

i figured out problem. I had VIII Fliegerkorps assigned to GS. I had StG 77 assigned to VIII Fliegerkorps. However, I had to attach StG 77 to GS in the air directive.

If you set your ADs first, but later re-assign your air units to different AOGs, the ADs don't pick up the change.

I suspect this is what happened in your case.

I believe that removing VIII Fliegerkorps from the AD and then adding it back would pick up the new assignment correctly.

Anyways, that is what I do when I re-assign air units.
