So I just repaired a bridge with enemy unit dug in on the other side...

Decisive Campaigns: Ardennes Offensive is the fourth wargame in the Decisive Campaign series. Covering the battles in the Ardennes between December 1944 and January 1945, it brings to life Operational wargaming by lowering the scale to just above tactical level.

As per the title.
Shouldn't bridge repair be impossible or at the very least costly when an enemy is guarding the other side? Is this WAD?

Interesting question given the scale and nature of the game the readiness, motivation and state of the guarding unit in question might play a role as well as the fact a unit doing bridging repair, if prepared would probably be doing so under heavy smoke cover.

May just be something hidden under all the calculations being done in the background. Different circumstance gives different results?
