red percentage on an enemy counter

red percentage on an enemy counter

Does anybody know what means the big percentage on the enemy counter? I cannot find it in the manual and cannot find any correlation with anything.

budd is correct.

Hover the pointer over the Target symbol with the percentage, below this a report will be displayed:
e.g., Right Click to do ranged attack (only 11% troops)

Right clicking will display the ranged attack screen. In the lower left the attacking forces will be displayed, ie this unit spotted the enemy unit. Examining the factors on this screen should answer whatever questions you have. Manual p. 38
