Weather issues

Post by Hamilkar74 »

It is now the 4th game in a row I am playing as German (41 campaign) and each time there is continuously rain for 3 to 4 weeks (last game unbelievable 5 weeks in the northern sector beginning end of July and whole of August!) in July and August. It's impossible to get anything near Moscow or anywhere when there's mud during the most important weeks in Summer. Is it just bad luck? In WIR 1 it was possible to change to historical weather, think that was dropped in WIR2.

What are your experiences? Cannot believe that this shxx weather is realistic during summer.

In the game, the weather is relatively random.
Heavy rains in the North are some kind of balance, so that the Soviet player does not lose Leningrad by turn 8 and can try to cling to the city. It can be quite funny, you are unlucky that the weather deteriorates so badly, but some kind of rain in the North happens in almost every party. At least the ones I've played.
In reality, what would you understand in Ukraine in the USSR, it rained, as far as I remember, and if I am not mistaken, creating a serious muddy road that greatly interfered with the movement. Which I haven't seen in the game yet.
