Multiplayer over the Internet

Hello: I see that the game supports Hotseat and PBEM. I assume hotseat is defined as 2 people at the same physical location playing the game on a single computer taking turns at the screen. Does the game support playing a human opponent simultaniously (i.e. not PBEM) via the internet at two physically different locations thus simulating to humans playing the physical board game version of the old days?

Steam does allow this kind of gameplay. It's not a feature specific to this game but you can play live with another player through your steam account. I did do some testing in this way to get some early feedback.
